Hitec is proud to announce the launch of the SkyScout, the first model in our new airplane line.
Combining the durability of a Multiplex pre-assembled airframe with the precision of Hitec electronics, the SkyScout is the perfect airplane for both beginner and experienced pilots. It features a protected, top-mounted, powerful outrunner motor, along with rudder and elevator controls and optional ailerons. With gentle gliding characteristics and easy-to-transport design, the SkyScout will soon become your favorite spunky flyer.
The SkyScout is available in three unique and convenient packages as well as a kit version. The R2GO comes “Ready to Go” with everything you need including a Hitec Lite 4-channel radio. The H2GO is our “Hitec to Go” version and comes with all the necessary electronics preinstalled. It just requires a Hitec 2.4GHz transmitter to link up and go. The P2GO package is pre-installed with the servos, motor and speed control and needs only the receiver, transmitter and motor battery to plug in and go. A kit version is also available, so pick your favorite and take to the blue skies with your very own Hitec SkyScout! You deserve it!

What kind of foam is it made out of? The finished exterior looks very smooth.
The Sky Scout is a combination of Multiplex airframe and Hitec radio components. Hitec owns Multiplex, has for years, so it’s a natural fit. Multiplex foam planes are made of their Elapor brand EPO foam, or Expanded Polyolefin. Super tough, flexible, and strong compression resistance. You see EPO used throughout the industry now for foam planes under multiple brand names, but Multiplex’s Elapor in particular has a very smooth finish.
